Ruined

You were my best friend, my partner in crime,
But all of that can change in one short time.
You took my trust, and threw it away,
I'm not even sure how I'll get through the day.
My bodily injuries no where near as bad,
As the emotional trauma that you'd never had.
You think because you feel remorse and guilt,
That it's enough for these feelings to wilt.
You did the unspeakable, a crime of rape,
And for me, it's on repeat, like a broken tape.
What you don't understand is that I'm shattered,
Ruined by one of the only people who ever mattered.
