Screaming Truths
By DeificLightning
Scream out the truths
That people dare to ignore.
Shatter the illusions
That they dare to uphold.
Delusional little bubbles,
Hiding the world in rubble.
Tinting the world in placating colors,
While the real world decays,
Wilting away.
Their indifference the salt
In the wounds of the world.
So scream out what they abhor,
And don’t let them ignore.
Reveal the horrors,
And never let them forget,
That so many out there
Are already dead.

There needs to be more thinking in this world than observing. I’m glad this ink inspires thought. Thank you for reading and commenting.

Much wisdom in your words DL and reminiscent of MLK speech that went "This generation will not be remembered by the Bad People, but rather by The Good People, who only stood-by and watched" (paraphrased). Sadly, we go merrily on our way and perhaps ignorance is bliss after all my friend. Cheers! - Dan

Thank you. And indeed, Martin Luther King was quite correct when he said that this generation would have to repent ,not just for the horrible deeds committed by horrible people, but also for the lack of action from those who claim to be good. And it is true that ignorance is often less painful, but the things that are right and mean something usually are quite painful. Thank you for reading and commenting.
