An Ode To One Close To My Heart

By beginning_poet

One last tear falls,
as I sit here staring at my wall.
All my friends told me not to cry,
but they didn't have to sit and listen to their mother say she died.
It still hurts to say it,
I didn't want to belive it, it didn't seem to fit.
Your still suppose to be here,
don't make me live up to my fear.
Emma...your not suppose to be gone,
your life still wasn't done.
So many people miss you.
It's been so long, time sure flew.
In my dreams, I see your smile fade,
as you travel to what seems to be a darkened shade.
Since you left, my life has been so bland.
I miss you Emma...isn't that something that you can understand?

...a dedication to my aunt, may she rest in peace, 1978-2000

Im so sorry for your loss. The loss of someone, especially someone so young, is hard to take I know. You put your feelings out well
