Orion
By Tagen
(shadow - dusk)
I hear someone
whispering in the vespertine stillness.
Someone's
carving crucifixes with a knife.
An old maid
shudders, and stares into nowhere,
Then
lights up a smoke, and takes a life.

Our young hearts, like wax, melt.
Glowing embers ignite the lies
That skinwalkers lurk here,
Bloodless in the pale moonlight.
xx
I can now hear the eternal howl,
And feel the forever fist-fight,
Eternal is my lover's power,
Whiskey-kissing
by dawn's firelight.
