the hunt (a love song)

By KittyStryker

i look down upon you
sweet sleek boy
dreaming in my bed
of wild winds
licking the taste of the sea from off his back
and stalking the light of heaven
eternity like a little mouse
to pounce upon and savor

i want to take you hunting
through the forests of this earth
show you how to taste blood
how to bite and rip and relish
teach you how to let the chase ripple
through your muscles
like the moonlight on the water
i want to lay my prey at your feet
and sing triumph to you

i will lay beside you
brush the tousled hair from off your forehead
and kiss your sleeping eyes
fall into dreams next to you
stretch out into a run
with you beside me
we'll pursue our thoughts of something bigger
and find it within our giggling
wrestling
licking
kissing
rolling on the starlit grasses of tomorrow

I love the animal instinct. You've brought such a primitive and powerful emotion older than words to us on a plate. Admirable piece.
