December's Pain
By Tagen
Even darker than its twilight hours,
December's thirst for light is rare.
Even stronger than its brumal powers,
Is December's beauty, caught in the air.
Stronger now, effervescent thunder -
Lightning stark against the sky.
Stronger horses on the arrow -
Life-long oblivion stirs my mind.
Sting of bees, nectar vows.
Lucid highs and blows without
Blood and bruising, always losing....
Trains of thought,
I thought without.

Man you packed a lot of visuals into a semi-small space here and made me feel like I was reading a small part of something epic. I thought your word choice was excellent and the flow was gentle. Interesting read, is there more to the story? Isn't there always?
