Silence On A Stopwatch (entry for contest)

By SummonerOfShadows666

I

Looking back at frozen hours

Time laughing within hindsight

Fool of everything undone

Standing still when the deadline drops

Nothing moves

A life wasted when it could've been better

Everything to lose

We lie to each other

And stand still

But nothing happens

Nothing

But endless perks of guilt

Big dreamers

With rotten ambitions

We tend to forget

Hanging out with the wrong people

Only makes it worse

Turning back time

To create another mistake

And even heavier sin

As we stand still

The errs of humanity

Shadows we cannot erase

Is only

Silence on a stopwatch

Great piece! Especially love the lines "We lie to each other And stand still But nothing happens" - that brings it all into focus and sets up the boom. Thanks for participating! I got so many great entries, I am finding it very hard to decide... Ciao, T/S Scholar
