8 Ball Corner....

By ColourGod

You woke aside the birth of Electricity
and the fatal Gods of matter
each one had its verse chorus and harmony
each one has its subtle vitality

knowing that you were not bound to their rules
or set to exist only in their worlds
you lingered intrigued by the complexity
inspired by their fragility

you broke the rules to stay
they broke the rules to create
a haven
a masquerade
a matter
a fact
a solid to behave
exactly as
we want to react

The Gods were eager to create a discourse
eager to play a part in the divine recourse

like billiards we placed them in a system
a faulted failure of a self expression
oh those stripes and solid gods
and we called ourselves the pockets

Holy shit, this deserves so many more comments. What lies between the lines is bloody amazing and a fantasticly brutal analysis especially in today's current political climate.

I was intrigued throughout and the conclusions directive with the title did not disappoint. Best poem I have read in a while, great work.
