Under His Banner We March
By The Talking Wolf-Cat
Conceived and born was one touched by the dark
By a sign so dark and foul was his birth marked
Cursed by chance, circumstance, he is born from loss
He would bring to our world an age of chaos
The world is forever changed and all will not be lost
For he promises to save us from the lords of frost!
We will face them without fear
We will prove their end is near
We will restore our pride
We will fight them by your side
We march once more to the battlefield
Trusting in the promise of a cursed man
We will face our enemies and will not yield
With spear and ax, sword and shield
With hatred, anger, and rage in our hearts
Shrieks and battle cries erupt from our lungs
The man of dark hurls forth his spear
Under his banner we march without fear
The battlefield echos with the screams of pain and death
We are slain by the hundreds with their frozen breath
The cursed man with vicious might fells them with his spear
They cower and fall to their knees for death do they fear
With fearlessness and might he claimed our victory
Never to return to our world the lords of frost retreat
We faced them without fear
We proved their end is near
We have restored our pride
Because we fought by your side
We march once more to the battlefield
Trusting in the promise of a cursed man
We will face our enemies and will not yield
With spear and ax, sword and shield
With hatred, anger and rage in our hearts
Shrieks and battle cries erupt from our lungs
The man of dark hurls forth his spear
Under his banner we march without fear
Author's Note:
Norse Mythology fascinates me. I see all kinds of "Viking Metal" bands and so I decided to write a fictional metal song that was inspired by Norse Mythology.Comments on "Under His Banner We March"
