Breakfast With Pavlov's Dogs

By Salty Ships

In sleep
I find you as my child father must have
with your tiny bones soaked in the monsoon rains
and a handful of English pebbles clutched clumsily between your teeth

Upon waking
I uncover you from the fog of my bathroom mirror
and shatter the glass.
