A Truth or A Lie

By Peyton1

Life and Love, be it truth or be it lie?

One as the other, and all the same says I.

It's done out of spite that I even still try.

All I'm granted is pain, I must continue to cry.

Two souls together would most assuredly fly.

Instead I sit in Hell's vat, a crisping french fry.

Dare should I ask of the one above the sky?

Perhaps, if I digressed and really needed a why.

Catch-her in the street or Catch-her in the Rye.

Chastised yet again for a failure to comply.

I try to live like 007 so I can another day die.

But for all I do, I can not even a minute buy.

A twisted tale to humor the gods up on high.

They make such a mess fingering every pie.

Invisible the wounds made by demons so sly.

My very sanity is into which they would pry.

Now not much matters since the end draweth nigh.

Such a colorless face, with just as silent a sigh.

Everything we view through LCD screens 2-ply.

How did our existence become so cold and so dry?

People text each other while standing on the same lanai!!

When you say you love me, I need you to look me in the eye!.....
