I fight
By DeepLoversPoet
I scream,
I scratch,
I fight to the surface;
My belly full of anger,
hate, and dismay as life try's to take away all I fight for.
I know nothing of giving away
to lives sufferings or it's pain,
I fight for my survival,
for happiness,
and contentment.
Along my way thorns tear away scratch and wound me.
But at it's end roses bloom just for me,
as I smile to know my fight has made me stronger for the long run.
Building up as my walls fall down
sturdy and at full peek I can see myself standing as a king would be.
Nothing can knock me down,
as I let my walls fall down.
"Don't let life take you by the horns, you take it by the balls and hold
on tight."
P.S.
Dear Reader,
I have been through abuse in my life and instead of letting
it make me angry or hateful it has made me a stronger and kinder person.
I hope the same for you.

I rate this as I do because thorns make an impression. Your message is clear and good. Though you never forget, and trying to reason that much is hard. Lot's of time is involved. The hope you give, gives just enough and carries.

Thank you and you are so right I also use roses and thorns in many of my poems because I feel the same way as you do.
