No More Pain

By Melankolia

The crushing voices breathe and turn
Forcing my unwanting hand in the shadow of tears
Legion their name, laughing and spitting
Find me at the end of the rope

Cold grip in the hand of the fallen,
The metal grinds against the teeth
Lucidity only a squeeze away
One last indefinite blast of silence.

The shadow remains no more
The body, devoid of suffering
Laid out in poetic beauty
Blood now replaces yesterday's tears

In the veil of nothingness I now reside
The frail silence a friend now
Find me on the shelf of the abyss
No more wars....

No more pain...
