Parasite - A Villanelle

By Asylum

Something wicked this way comes,
and all shall stand in fright.
From out the dark, into the sun.

Upon the dawn, this world undone
so fear the fading night.
Something wicked this way comes.

Shadows filter; light, be shunned.
Upon this world, a blight
from out the dark, into the sun.

Echoed chants so frail and numb
herald relentless spite.
Something wicked this way comes.

Keeping time, the beating drums
resound with maelific might,
from out the dark, into the sun.

Feast your eyes; for hope, there's none
against these parasites.
Something wicked this way comes
from out the dark, into the sun.

This is great! I loved the darkness & creepy flow, as well as the "something" that lies beneath that is not yet revealed. Awesome!
