at the home where souls entwine at rest
a pooling energy stores itself
coiling in a corner
(it prefers the bottom of quivers but
they are out of fashion)
it drapes itself across the cool stones
(when it allows you to go out alone)
testing how thin it can make
itself
merely being,
alert alive,
s-s-s-sentient...
