A Manic Depressives take on Love

why do rainbows always clear
leaving me with all this drear
can i not own a mere happy tear
a moment that my mind isnt  a mess
i dont know how i can address
how terribly i am falling under stress
i cannot distress my detest
for this veil of deception that we are under each other's protection
that peace and love exists in this hell
all those boys, they kiss and tell
they get us hermits out of our shell
and push us around till all of us have fell
i cannot see
what the point could be
to fall in love or coexist with the demons below and the angels above
you could paint me a picture
of heaven or hell, maybe a mixture
oh, wait, thats our deminsion
hell is only an extension
oh, did i mention?
love does exist
one more thing you missed
but you so persist
love is a facade
you often attempt to persuade me otherwise
how can i summarise
that your such a liar, deep down  you do believe
love is real, it can relieve
a hurt so deep
but not all love you can keep
love is our sheperd, not a sheep
it tries to tame you, not vise versa
love is not a curse
but a remedy
for us to rehearse
that fulfilling, ancient verse
"I Love You"
for us to make, breathlessly
conforming, without warning
to one another
