Bite Marks
By DavidVale
All I have of you are bite marks
Engraved into my skin
Only trophies
I have left to
Find warm solace in
Here is where you once
so softly
Placed your blazing lips
And the scar that soon decays
is
What was left of this
I wander slowly, head held high
There is no need to hide
My branded neck from since you last were
Sparkling, on my side
As time goes by, the bruises fade
Withdrawal quickly starts
For I’m a man addicted to your
Gently
placed love marks

It sounds so passionate, yet like this person was extremely possessive

Sounds like a very passionate person, or maybe a territorial animal, marking its turf, well said!

Aren't we all just a bit territorial with that special someone?
