Silent Stalker

By Killerdemonchick

I hear the steps behind me and freeze
The footstep stop and there is silence
The silence, broken by leaves rustling in the breeze
I continue walking and get to the iron fence.

I hear the footsteps follow me through my door
I walk up the staircase
I walk down the hall
I go into my room to wait and pace.

I hear the steps stops at the stairs
I wait for them to start again
I wonder if I really care
From walking out there, I must refrain.

I fall asleep at the time of eleven
I awake at one
Screaming to high heaven
I know that it is all done

My silent stalker has left me once more
I must not cry
I know I was being quite a bore
But now I still ask why?

Silent stalker, where have you gone?
I need you now to make a sound
I am now very forlorn
I wish you wanted to be found.

Another way is that your stalker is a kind of guardian angel, following you wherever you go, but never approaching. Great write, much enjoyed.

Your work builds up in me a feeling of transition from one being stalked to becoming a stalker... I liked the tension. Nicely done
