Sunset is just around the bend. Come in!
By cadymae
How does it feel inhabiting your flesh, pre-decay?
It feels
like life itself!
Yet you pay no mind.
You'll
note and gnaw when it gives out but that is to come
Right now you
pay your body no thought
Your elastic skin is like a new rubber
band
snapping back briskly, usefully. Unlike
That rotted
one on grandma's checkbook
that has segmented into uselessness
like grandma herself?
Don't fret. That is far ahead.
That's not you, yet.
But hints of winter are in the late
summer breeze.
Raise your eyes up. Look ahead. Sniff what's coming.
It makes tonight that much sweeter.

We die every day we live but we are a rejuvenative creature aswell, we are contradictions (decay in growth). Love it
