Persevere, please

By RibbonHeart

Today is a day for making plans,
I can't feel this, not today
Work, work, work, work
No time for play.

Today is a day for shutting off
Never feel, never want, never need
Too busy, busy, busy
Keep everyone pleased.

Today I looked into the sky,
Heaving clouds dark with plot
Drip, drip, drip, drip
Keep walking, don't stop

Today I broke the one inside,
A useless girl, I wish she'd die
Cut her out, cut her out
I'm so tired of her cries.

Today I look at him with love,
An untruth, but not a lie
Keep him close
Weather the storm
Hope for love to be reborn
Try harder girl
Don't give in
Do better now
Forgive the sin...

Some things cannot be forgiven, there will always be that lingering doubt and the sense of turnabout being fair play perhaps, cheers!
