The Shadows Ravaging Minds

By Undertaker

Bitterness sets in, It gets deep into the mind
Accessing each trace of thought, every single line.
The deeper it goes, the more sorrow we know
It’s a sinking pain starting to show
The bloody crimson sting, spreading its demented tainted flow
Flooding deeper into the blank spots filling the mind, creating painful blackened holes

It is like a monstrous beast that cannot be stopped
Putting its victim in pure pain, the brain lock
The key to the inner mind, many think is filled with love
But this is most certainly not the case, a key sent to destroy from above
For the key to the inner mind does not unlock love but utter demise
Love, passion, truth, the outward glow of man, false, nothing but lies
Dig deep into your inner mind, access the portal’s that are wrought
Going to worlds unknown, lost in demented tranquility, unbalanced thoughts
The visions that haunt to the bitter core
So deep, filled with rage, the unlocked door…
Running with the shadows deep in the back of your head
Allowing them to consume you until the point your dead
You can’t escape the darkness once you’ve turned that key
The old you is gone, trapped and unable to leave

Sounds like you've got some backwards and upside down ideas, but then this is in fact Dark Poetry and to each his own. Wondering why you might be so bitter? Anyway, very heartfelt piece, with some descriptive darkness form the depths, cheers!
