You through my eyes

By starrynite522

Bury the pain beneath a wall of anger
You keep busy with distractions
Trying not to become a slave to the interactions.

Winter blue transforms to icy grey
Your heart pounds a rapid pace
The facade begins to come unlaced.

Sit still with eyes tightly fastened.
As memories push your towards a mental schism
Willing the tumultuous wave to quickly pass within

Demons run freely through the mind.
Your heart crumbles at the the corruption
Making it more difficult to stop the eruption.

Remain unmoving with the jaw clamped shut
In an attempt to lock away what your heart cannot
The daily battle leaves you painfully distraught.
