A Wondrous Journey
By daiglepoems
I'm on a wondrous journey
devoid of destination.
Might make mama
proud of me
or face humiliation.
Might bask in sunny
skies
or dodge a downpour.
Might be ignorant or wise.
A
tramp or troubadour.
Could be famous.
Could be wealthy.
Live in abject poverty.
Might be sick.
Might be healthy.
It's all the same to me
if I'm adorned in flowing robes
or barefoot donning tatters
with bones in my earlobes.
The
journey's all that matters.
And when I reach the end
I'll
look back on life and say,
"Look at where I've been.
What I've
done along the way."
The splendid sights I've seen.
The
people that I've met
From Rangoon to Racine.
Thailand to Tibet.
It's been a wondrous journey.
I've wandered far and wide.
Soon I'll catch "The Gurney".
That's an E -ticket ride.
