Eggplant

By cadymae

Your mean-streak is eggplant-colored.

If it were electric blue, you'd need an audience.

If it were ecru, I'd wonder if you'd just said that.

If it were black, I wouldn't be standing at your side.

Instead, it is a stabbing motion I can deflect,

While marveling at its shade,

while silently hating purple.

Yet again, you never fail to impress me. Another piece of brilliance.

This was fantastic and the colors took things to another level. A fine line between criticality and meanness perhaps? Thanks and well done.
