Alone is a Beautiful Word
By Dragonfly
Alone is
an Ugly word....
She was
beautiful...
In snow suits and snow boots we trudge through
the winter night
Like moths to a fire we head to that lonley street
light
We have to leave no care if by bus or by train
Just
to get out of this town with no name
Her hands like serpents wrapped around my own
And my heart was her heart if only on loan
Then she danced off to the deescalate woods
Singing a melody only she understood
She walked beside
me with her flaxen blond hair
A laugh shudders light throughout
the frozen air
And her breath dances out up to the sky
A poetic
way of saying goodbye
Her tears dripped on paper
With ink of the night
Her heart always stayed hurt
And she was never all right
If only it were that simple
though
A goodbye so poetic would be too perfect I know
Instead
she disappeared with a single nights kiss
Bright rosy red on
bright rosy lips.
Lips of satin
Ropes draw me near
I still hear her laughing
Still feel her fear
She said that she wanted to dance one
day
And never again have to be afraid
She never made it on
that stage
She only got half way before life turned the page
Chapter by chapter
Year after year
She's writing her story
Of tears after tears
Alone is an ugly word
She left me like
that
Alone in an ugly world
Gone before an eye can bat
Her chapter has ended,
but so has this night
A truth never bended
When
out goes the light
But
she was truly beautiful....
And leaving me alone...

Thank you ^^ Believe it or not the two parts were actually written in two different years around this time of season... Somehow they fit, but I guess I'm just a genius like that... Just kidding (Maybe)
