Beauty as a Fallen Angel

By Dragonfly

You were once so beautiful it seems
appearance of an angel that one day lost its wings
Never spoke of you emotions rather paint them on your face
quickly moving forward not allowing others to keep your pace
Wondering why no one comes near
thinking it is you they fear
No one could fear someone as beautiful as you
sometimes I'm glad only I know that's true
For if you weren't broken and knew you were whole
my arms would no longer be a suitable home
For if you knew of your beauty I would not be worth
the trouble you go through on this earth.
