Sometimes You Fly Me Away

By Dragonfly

Sometimes you fly me
away
past the furthest stars
and when we meet land again
you drop me and I fall
And when I am broken
you take me to the shop
Fix me with careful stitches
and wave away the cost
But as soon as I am better
and can stand back on my feet
You teach to trust again
and a ruthless death I soon meet
I know your lies are endless
and stupid I be to trust
Yet something in the back of my mind
screams it is a must
And I feel my heart get colder
every time I am repaired
And one day I will be someone new
and you will wish
I was there
