Chronicles of Desperation

By AllenTaylor

I've been pushed too far
My toes now cling to the edge
It is just way too hard
When your mind says it's the end
The inner fight between pain and love
To death from self preservation
My page now fits in the glove
In the Chronicles of Desperation

Spiraling into darkness
The dream becomes a nightmare
How long can I distress
Looking for one who'd care
Lies are eating me away
And burrow into my soul
I don't know how to get through today
In this illusion I've lost all control

Pills, rope, and circumstance
Stare me in the eyes
I tie my shoes for the final dance
For the end of me tonight
My burdened heart skips a beat
Waiting for my fall
My demons laugh and corner me
Obviously mocking my callĀ

    Truely expressed desperation. Well done.

great opening verse... it felt like you left it unfinished... maybe it's just me... I might have ended it like I started, with the word desperation... write on

I totally see where you are coming from, and I did feel the same way. These are lyrics and I had an extra few lines and I did not care for them, so yes you are right it does seem a little incomplete.

Thank you sir, from your writings I sense a very strong hint of sadness, yet total maturity. Almost as if you experience the Twilight Zone everyday.
