Give It A Visual

                                             I can’t take that damn sound
The click clack of the ceiling fan
It’s going to drive me to insanity
Day in and night out.
                                             The feeling of my fingernails
On the ribbed fabric of the couch
Scraping and clawing
Like a cat .
                                             The hard smooth force
Of my tongue ring
Rolling from side to side
On my top lip.
                                             The melodious patter of your fingers
On the keys of your laptop
Making me curious
As to what you are seeing.
                                             These are the things
That make my mind stray
Getting my imaginative juices flowing
Bringing on such amazement.
                                             How ridiculous is it that this
Is the bewilderment of my life
And how disheartening
That I feel there isn’t more.
