The Soul Song of a Loser

By silentninja

This is my song
Even if my audience is gone
I still expect I'll get the words wrong
At least check out the verse I've sung

It's been a year
I'm still living here
I still try to give up drinking beer
I still fear you dear

Oh your sweet smile

I gambled my heart away
I promised I'll stop some day
I cried after I last saw you wave

When you left with my child

And this is a song
My sad sad song
Of everything I've done wrong
The Soul Song of a Loser

And with this song
This tear filled song
I regret just what I've done
The Soul Song of a Loser

Do you remember our dance?
Under the full moon in France
Full of love and romance
We could have lived forever in that trance

Yet that was just my dream

I stood in the pouring rain
When you climbed aboard that train
Will I ever see you again?

Oh in pain I scream

For this is a song
My sad sad song
Of everything I've done wrong
The Soul Song of a Loser

And with this song
This tear filled song
I regret just what I've done
The Soul Song of a Loser

I'm still in broken love
With an angel frm high above
Who Went and broke my heart
Who left me to fall apart

Just to forget my face

She took my only child
Left me with the bailiff's while
A divorce she filled

Against my name

So this is my song
My sad sad song
The Soul Song of a Loser
