A life of strife and struggle

Pain and passion

now this

Poetry in times of peace

Insecurities awash in antipathy

No more strife or struggle

Panicked  proliferation

Life is as it should be

And though I still dream of bigger things

I’m tired of disappointment

Wallowing in my self wrought indignation

My revelation

These self set standards stop here

No more panicked proliferations

Painstakingly crafted indignations

Just peace

Poignancy

And the knowledge that life

on its own

Has been,

and will forever be…
