Welcome Home

By MoonLitShadowz

Like a mirage
You appear before me
I cannot believe my eyes

Scared, I reach out for you
Expecting you to disappear
But touch your solid flesh

Amazed and ecstatic
I hold you to me tightly
I can't get enough of you

Shaking I kiss you deeply
Pressing my body against yours
Vaguely hearing my life shift back into place

You hold me close, possessively
Your joy matching and magnifying my own
I look up into your expressive eyes

Whispering, afraid to break the spell
"Welcome home my love"
And gently press my lips to yours
