Call Me Nothing, Please.

By Miztaken4beauty

I couldn't be your lover.
I could only be your whore.
But when the night takes the day,
I won't be your anything - - anymore.

Broken chains lay on the floor,
but the window's bear the bars.
We lie awake in the dark,
letting fingers kiss our scars.

The door is still locked.
I'll never meet your eyes.
I couldn't stand it,
to sort your truth from lies.

All the effort you extended,
was met with what end?
How do you expect me to look at you,
Let alone remain your "Friend"?

If I can't be your Jupiter,
then I will be your Mars.
Hate and passion to burn the sky,
and I'll outshine every star.

I couldn't be your lover.
I could only be your whore.
But when the night takes the day,
I won't be your anything - - anymore.
