"Words"

By Grim_Sorrow

our art
once irreverent
has become
in modern times
irrelevant

this skill
now discredited

there's no fame in this

just hope

sanity

freeform
fast paced
full fledged
far be it from me
reality

this epiphany
that no matter how i bend it
break it
take it
attempt to twist it into words
it never fits
but I'm fine with this

for a moment it seems clear

for a moment
i find truth in scattered words

for a moment
i find peace

that moment is why i pursue what i may never reach
but I'll keep trying
enjoy the release and hope that one day soon
it will all make sense.
and all of this

these words
wasted hours

will find purpose
have reason

and finally

gracefully

come to an end.
