The Tempest and the Unicorn
By FallenSky
A maenad’s kiss,
Bane of Her heart;
A Unicorn in masquerade
Dighted as a faun
Within the ides of moonlit May,
Daedally it prances down,
This Unicorn behesting
And such a cunning prolix weaves,
Maugre Her dote defending,
He could not help descending
And as Her leif refelled,
Mourning strikes upon Her heart,
The fall of dusk begins,
An elegy written in Her tears,
Odious with His sin
Or was He bereft of words
Quod vide Her lonely heart,
Or was He, by dint of a seductress' breath,
Blind?
Author I of Tempest lauds
Within this tyne evinced;
A Unicorn’s kiss,
Bane of Her heart

Beautiful write. Mythology is always beautiful no matter the way it is written or expressed.

"Within the ides of moonlit May" nicely done, i really like the myth references; Viking lore, Greek Mythology... as well as the Fantasy element...

I read this and I'm intrigued..I have a vague concept of the "image" I'm looking at..but has a subtle feeling of a restless puzzling passion...
