slow talk

By ButterflyCity

her veins have lost their art
in just a few heart skips,
and hearing the nothingness
that is there deafens the ears
that once heard the blooming of spring.
to dare defy such phenomenon is crippling
and the absurdity of it all
is staring her right in the face.
and the lips that smiled at the sound
of fluttering butterfly wings,
now sings a heart breaking lullaby
that puts the desolate to sleep.
