Dream State

By Wiccad

All is quiet as I wait
The water is calm awaiting my fate
No reflections here today
No where to kneel and pray

Darkness everlasting
No more will I be bound
Not a flicker of light
On this darkest of nights

My skin is grey and  cold
The pier is rotting and old
The smell of death is pungent
Making me feel sick to my stomach

Soon all things will be undone
I feel my insides shifting
Making room for my transformation
Into nothing

I do know I am done
Done with sorrow, and pain
Done with doubt, and fear
Done with things unclear

I feel no pain as my body changes
Morphed into the highest state of being
Bones cracking, tendons pulling
No fear, no doubt that this is what it's all about

This beautiful death that we all fear
Has just made anchor at my pier
Wonderful dark angel release my soul
For they have buried my body deep in a hole

An overwhelming sense of being complete
Then suddenly................ I am no more

Incredible visulas, nicely done. Death, a hole and I am gone, all the things for a great dark poem. I like the morph tie in that was cool. Thanks for the write.

The visuals are so strong. And no sense of fear. I really loved "Making room for my transformation Into nothing"......although that seems to be the state I currently reside. Great write. Thank you.
