"Stagnant"

By Grim_Sorrow

As far as I can see I spit
the truth the words I now regret
past hopes in time I find myself
false pride
false eyes
false faith in self
now as I sit
I hear
I fear
the coming words
the waning years
so as I wait
this clock
ticks on
forever hopeful
bodeful

gone

left to a world
of hate
of greed

this entity of want
of need

forever hopes yet never hears
forever wanders
falters
fears

the future
failure
passing years

a passion
indignation clear

forever lost

forever here

the defunct course of life unclear
