I wish, and So
By Myzeray
I wish to dance but I have two left feet,
I wish to sing but my voice is not sweet,
I wish to paint but my canvas is full,
I wish to write but it comes out all bull.
I wish to make love but a partner I lack,
I wish for the past but I can’t go back.
I wish for love that I can hold,
I wish for riches made not of gold.
And so I dance, despite my two left feet,
And so I sing though my voice is not sweet.
And so I paint my canvas my body,
And so I write though the words are shoddy.
And so I make love to myself alone,
And so I look through the yearbook and the pictures its shone.
And so I hate the love that won’t be found,
And so I make the green to buy up the gold around.

ha! I loved this.. I really not into rhyme, but this moved so simply well, whimsical, serious and playful. Poetry that moves the blood, well played. ~b

as elegant as these words dance, they fall into the curves of your body painting the lyrics to your song in shades of passiona and self ecstacy, the best lover one can find, the paper and the pen dancing to the music of your voice, well done -symph-
