I'll Take You There...

By maggot death

All hope is lost.
Nothing left to do,
to say,
to feel,
or to believe....
---------------------------------------

So, get off of the sand
to another world
where you can be yourself
and not the least bit alone.
A place of paradise
you will always win,
always lose,
depending on what you need
what you want
what you feel.
To get away from it all
just like you wanted.

As you take my hand, I murmur
"...I'll take you there..."

The sky deforms,
twists in defiancy
as I use all of my strength
and almost endanger
my only life
for the one I love.

The sand draws away from beneath,
I wisper to her,
"...I did it. For you.
So go on without me,
and live the life
you very much deserve."

The wind intenses
ruining your soft, black hair
I hold you for dear life,
she then wispers to me,

"Stop.....I'd rather be with you"

This is not my best of poetry, either. I have been awarded the basic postcard membership(finally), which means that I will hopefully finish my short story series, along with more amounts of other literature, including poems.
