Hurricane With A Hit-List

By TheUltimateOutlaw

Remember--

Toes traced lightly
Over silt and sandy
River bottom;
That sea-salt taste
Of brackish water

And the sting
Of cicada songs
Against sticky skies;
The pink-on-ink
Of the pre-dawn
Horizon;

Summer scorched
Skin
And Ferris wheel
Wind
Against your face;

Sunlight streaming
And nightlife reeling
To awkward awakenings
And morning-afters,

Marvelling--

Love is like a hurricane
With a hit-list

And your name is on it.
