Pride's Folly

By Silence

Who do you think you're talking to
When you look to her and him
Eyes wander to this and that

Who do you think hears your word
When the target your screaming at
Isnt the one who the message is ment

Who do you think your better than
When you can terrorize and degrade anyone you want
You're are nothing

Because you are so smart you use it to mask the cowardice
When courage takes the stage good women and men
Do not ignore it

For all your fancy words and praises of yourself
They are nothing compared to one couragious act
Humility, the ability to say you were wrong and ask forgiveness

This summed up perfectly my feelings for some key people in my life at this time. Hmm.

I really like the repeating thematic and linguistic structure/framework of each of your stanzas... and you really hit home with the final output... very skillfully done
