Slipped

By skully

Those last days were filled with darkness
They took away her very breath
He disappeared into shadows
And murderous night fell over day

Like a monster like not in the stories
There is no happy ending here
No vainglorious Hollywood glories
She died a sad and lonely death

And him he didn’t know his own madness
Lost in underwater soft green mist
Couldn’t even comprehend her sadness
Missed her as she slipped away
