You Gave Me Wings To Fly...

By Dianas_Eclipse

You gave me wings to fly
I haven't flown in so long.
The last person who outfitted me with a pair
stripped them from me
when he left;
took my dragon's wings and tore them to shreds.
Then, finally, you came.
You came
and presented me with a pair of wings
unequaled in beauty and strength and presence.
They are every color and any color I feel
opaque and translucent,
they are feathered and wide and glorious
and the best gift I've ever received.
Now my wings allow me to soar to heights I once thought unattainable.
I love flying on the wings of your love.
*Heaven isn't too far
heaven is where you are;
stay with me and
let me be your wings.
