The light

By skully

I staggered out into the morning mist
You didn’t know it but, boy was I pissed
I took in all of your cities delights
The bridges the bars the graveyards the lights

And though it was dark I felt I could see
And wished so hard that I’d never lived
Without you beside my life just flows by
And I hardly remember what it was like sometimes
