livid living

By skully

Spent all Sunday breathin’ the coke smellin heroin
Yelling inside smothering what’s within
There is no way left to take the edge off
No one who knows why we’ve been sinning

A valium might do it smooth this rough edged livin’
Yet when tomorrow comes I know where we’ll be sittin’
The edge of reason and reasons not fair when you’re having to feel
Is it really pointless or are layers of mind beginning to peel?

Can we find words to express what life is like
The only edge is the edge of this season when
Politics has stolen our freedom, when Aquarius dawns
Will we be ready or will our minds be too unsteady?

Why are we in the gutter staring up at the stars?
Splashed by the water from their expensive cars
And will our Karma turn its full potential
One last hit I’ll think it over or thank god that I no longer have to
