Cornered, trapped at every turn...a decisive dead end;
Trying to escape a carnival of words that don't include me.
The fireworks are extraordinary
Only this isn't my show
The flowers are blossoming to life....
But this isn't my Spring
A dawn bringing new hope
Only this isn't my day
A longing that begs to be found
But this isn't my journey...
All this and more when I open the door to my own private
C.rush Room...
Hell for the damned
Heaven for the blessed.

This reminds me of walking into a room with too familiar faces... smoky... with jaws grinding and glass flickering under dimmed lights... and the scratch of lighters flaring up the darkness beneath a din of pungent smoke, nervous chatter, and metal squealing a locomotive right through so many battered yesterdays.... no will stands before the train too often without falling between the tracks... very nice write, obtuse, relies on interpretation, speaks little and yet, and maybe for that reason, cannot be but heard.
