Love and Regrets

By thesuccubusreturns

Child hood sweethearts,
In love from the start
Living, learning and loving
One entity made from too young halves

Time passes, the children grow.
Feelings shift and change
Love there, but different
Growing and changing as they do

One child strays, one foolish night
Forgetting all the good, remembering the bad
Remembers the tears and the tantrums
Forgets the quiet whispers of undying love

Punished forever, the young girl shall be
Forced to watch the young man love another
Feeling her heart ripped out everyday
Feeling her soul burn with shame

She throws herself into the underworld
Sex drugs, rock and roll
Running from the shame that pursues her
The traitorous bitch hides from the world

Little did she know she was not alone
The young mans life was also ruined
By her dark betrayal, her night of infidelity
And when he cries out for her help, her love, she willingly gives it.

Lost in his arms, where she never thought shed be again
Tears come to easily
The shame she ran from ensnares her
The burning pain in her soul returned

Her tells of his love for her, but not to hope
Love broken so badly never can heal
But she hopes. Time heals many wounds
One day she may be with her love once more

One day two hearts may reunite
Until then she stays in the shadows,
The unseen best friend, waiting for his cries of need.
Dreaming a dream he doesn’t want to see.

His stubborn nature refuses to forgive.
Refuses to see her sorrow and regret.
Refuses to see, in her crying eyes, that she would never again.
Never again

She doomed herself to walk alone in the shadows
He doomed her to die alone, with unfulfilled hope.
