Pantomime

By Winterwords

Ravens circle
the sepulcre of innoncence
erected like a temple
in the wasteland of my soul

The shades of the past
gather here to worship
to breathe life into the memories
- their one unspoken hope

Damned to haunt
this earthen mausoleum
by the malevolence of wisdom
destroyer of illusions
they tear the unforgiving sky
with hungry flesh-less hands
to unravel
the fabric of time...

I encite them
anything to break the silence
the silence drives me mad...

As I sigh, I so agree with NikesRain. This made my heart shutter, as that silence is maddening. Scholar
