war at heart

By thefairytaleheart

the dark
feels like
a slow death that kills your soul
the light
feels like
a fire that will burn you whole
and in
the end
all the shadows turn to coal
and i
am just
sitting by myself in my assylum

who said
too bad
you dug your grave now you must lie
who said
too bad
if you don't get wings you'll never fly
who said
too bad
in the end you too shall die
and i
am just
waiting for you here in the infermery

who said
too bad
if you pick your scabs they'll never heal.
who said
too bad
you'll go to jail if you steal
who said
too bad
if you don't know love you'll never feel
now i
am just
sitting by myself down by the river

and in
the end
everyone will kill themselves
and in
the end
guns will be used on ourselves
and in
the end
forgiveness will be in the mud
then in
the end
humanity's decay will kill us all
one by one the dominos will fall

and if
we all
kill ourselves we'll go to hell
and if
we all
kill for love we'll go to hell
and if
we all
kill at all we'll go to hell
so i'll
just wait
for you here in my private room in hell
everyone will ask but never tell
questions that you know too well...
